Cuero Turkeyfest Association Announces 2013 Events & Race Team
the conclusion of last year's festival, the committee members of the
Cuero Turkeyfest Association have been hard at work planning for the
2013 edition. During an online cross-platform reveal event dubbed Turkey
Tuesday on April 30, this year's entertainment lineup, children's
events, and Ruby Begonia Race Team were announced.
Turkeyfest Association is pleased to announce that the Randy Rogers Band
will headline Friday night's dance. The Randy Rogers Band has made a
name for themselves by touring Texas and the rest of the nation in
support of their numerous hits as well as their brand new album entitled
"Trouble." They will bring a classic Red Dirt country sound to Cuero in
October. Supporting acts will be The Trevor Cole Band and Pop Rocks
Headlining Saturday night's lineup will be Kyle Park. His
new album, the recently released "Beggin' For More," has already scored
two number one hits on the Texas Music Charts during its short tenure.
Earlier acts that day include The Texas Tornados, Dale Watson & His
Lonestars, The Rankin Twins, and I-69.
Turkeyfest also boasts a
robust collection of family events this year. Returning acts such as
Children's Tractor Pull, Turkey Egg Hunt, and Race Your Own Turkey will
be joined by new favorites Gator the Clown, Kids' Celebration Family
Game Show, and AXE Women Loggers of Maine.
In addition to the
entertainment, the 2013 Ruby Begonia Race Team was announced to much
fanfare. The team, which will have the duty of defending the Traveling
Turkey Trophy of Tumultuous Triumph, consists of Coach Terri Warwas,
Captain Clayton Lantz, and Handlers Clint Clark and Mary Beth Finney.
