2012 Parade
The Cuero Turkeyfest Association invites you to be a part of our Annual Turkeyfest Celebration on October 12, 13, & 14, 2012. We promise that our 40th annual event will be bigger and better than last year.
We invite you to take part in the festivities by participating in our Annual Turkeyfest Parade which is scheduled for Saturday, October 13th at 11:00 a.m.
Important Notes:
Judging of the entries will begin at 9:30 a.m. and all entries are asked to be in their designated position at that time. Trophies will be awarded in several categories: small business, best dressed auto/club, youth group, organization, Chamber of Commerce, and best overall float.
Your number will be assigned to you upon your arrival on Saturday morning, no earlier than 8 a.m., October 8. "Check Point" will be at the intersection of East South Railroad and Esplanade Streets (next to the railroad crossing).
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR OUR SPECTATORS, ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN, REQUIRE THAT PARADE PARTICIPANTS NOT THROW ANY OBJECTS SUCH AS CANDY OR SOUVENIRS AS YOU PROCEED DOWN THE PARADE ROUTE. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!
Instructions
We want to give proper recognition to all participants in this year's parade. Please submit your entry by Monday morning, October 1. This will make it possible for us to have a complete count of our entries and for the parade announcer to give a public announcement of your entry as it passes the Announcer's Platform.
Receipt of entries will be confirmed by mail, parade maps will be sent at a later date as well as posted on our site.
