2008 Cuero Turkeyfest Open Cook-Off
Information • Open Cook-off – Entries include: Turkey (any style), Ribs,
Brisket, Jackpot Beans, and Jackpot Chili. NOTE – Setup of lodging or cooking equipment will
NOT be allowed prior to registration. Instructions The 2008 Cuero Turkeyfest Cook-Off will be held at the Cuero Lake in the city park. You can enter this area by turning on Industrial Boulevard towards the airport and take the first right which is Lakeside Road. Cook-off Team’s fees include a cook-off entry fee of $125.00. Beer, Soda, Water, and 20 lb Ice will be available for purchase from Cuero Turkeyfest throughout the festival weekend. Please see a Turkeyfest representative for any of the items. Each team member will be given one, one-time use gate admission pass. This pass is good for ONE person’s entry ONE DAY into the festival. The pass is intended for admission to the awards presentation on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM under the Pavilion. There is a maximum limit of five passes per team. Regardless of number of teams one individual is a member of, each individual is limited to one pass. You may register your team via email, mail, or you may hand deliver the registration form to a Cuero Turkeyfest Cook-Off Committee/Board member, The Cuero Chamber of Commerce, or an approved representative. Trophies will be awarded for showmanship. Visa Gift Card prizes will be awarded for 1st Place in Turkey ($500.00), Ribs ($400.00), and Brisket ($400.00). Jackpot Beans and Jackpot Chili pays first place. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places in ALL categories. ALL INFORMATION AND PRIZES SUBJECT TO CHANGE Schedule of Cook-Off Event Friday: 9:00 AM – Registration And/Or Check-In @ Clubhouse Saturday: 8:00 – 10:00 AM – Cook-Off Registration @ Clubhouse Any Cook-Off team or individual is free to pack up and leave
after the Festival Mall closes on Saturday night @ 1:00 AM. Due to insurance
restrictions and safety issues, equipment can not be moved during Festival
Mall hours. Thank you.
